Preparation of supported gold nanoparticles by a modified incipient wetness impregnation method.
In this work, we show that if the mere procedure of impregnation of oxide supports with chloroauric acid, which is well-known to lead to large gold particles, is followed by a step of washing with ammonia, small gold particles (3-4 nm) can be obtained after a treatment of calcination at 300 degrees C on any type of oxide supports (alumina, titania, silica). Moreover, gold leaching is very limit...

Spectroscopic Investigation of Titania-Supported Gold Nanoparticles Prepared by a Modified Deposition/ Precipitation Method for the Oxidation of CO
Infrared absorption spectroscopy is considered one of the most promising methods to study catalyst surfaces. A multitude of different applications and experimental techniques are available, such as transmission (TIR), attenuated total reflection (ATR), reflection–absorption (RAIRS) and diffuse reflectance (DRIFTS) modes. In this work, the latter technique was used, which allows us to analyze fr...
متن کاملPreparation of TiO2-supported twinned gold nanoparticles by CO treatment and their CO oxidation activity.
We found that twinned gold nanoparticles (T-AuNPs) are generated at a high probability by CO treatment of TiO2-supported Au(iii) at room temperature. Because of the formation of T-AuNPs, the Au/TiO2 prepared by the CO treatment showed higher catalytic activity for CO oxidation than Au/TiO2 prepared by conventional H2 treatment.
